The Tanzania National Business Council (TNBC) has formed a Working Group with 7 members from private sector and 7 from public while AF and TNBC onboard as the secretariat for the working group. Co-Chaired by the permanent secretary for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism Prof Adolf Mkenda and SHIVIMITA chairman Mr Ben Sulus. The group seeks to address directly issues in the Forest sector with private sector directly involved. Launched on the 21st of November 2018 at the state house,It had 1st meeting was held on the 28th of January 2019 in Dar Es salaam and will be held once every month for the next 2 years directly bringing matters not sorted by the working group to the national business council chaired by the President of Tanzania.
Forestry has been inadequate (underutilized) in the past. It is important to note that forest resources are an important catalyst for the promotion of employment and the economy of manufacturing forest products and to maintain or maintain a sustainable environment. The TNBC expects that members of this Forestry working group will bring suggestions and advice for implementation as soon as possible for the development of our country in Tanzania.Business Environment Working Group
